as i ripped through leaves of trivial adages,
your marigold muscles quaked.
we stood on a mighty, lusty ledge,
smoke stirred at our feet.
my pupils danced towards the ground,
muted silver & grizzly waves churned around my musing.
i watched you plunge into a periodo azul,
my hand quivered for
your clarity. i ebbed,
your yellowed body drowned in
white-hot foam.

my skin turned milky in the indigo sun.
fiery metal spores populated
my open, star-kissed pores.
i cried gallons for the sea that day
& felt the fine rivers of
blackhole fear which consumed your vision.
it fed and fed like a pack of month starved wildlings.

i chained your moon-dust worries to my bare chest,
exhaled as we climbed down. two silent hours
on a trail. winded. calm,
gleaming under a comforting sapphire orb 
in the sweet pink summery sky.
